Experienced Finishing Foreman
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced finishing foreman to lead a large-scale construction project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of high-spec internals, managing the site team, ensuring project milestones are met, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
About the Role:
1. Lead and manage a diverse team of subcontractors, tradespeople, and on-site staff, ensuring clear communication, collaboration, and adherence to project objectives.
2. Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule, monitor progress against milestones, and take proactive measures to address any delays or issues that arise.
3. Enforce strict quality control measures to ensure that all work meets or exceeds project specifications and industry standards.
4. Collaborate with project managers to monitor project expenses, track costs, and implement cost-effective solutions to stay within budget.
5. Champion a strong safety culture on the construction site, implementing and enforcing all relevant health and safety protocols and regulations.
6. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
7. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to the project timeline and budget.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, change orders, and other relevant records.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. Proven experience on large-scale construction projects, with a focus on high-spec internal finishes.
3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
4. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
5. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
6. Familiarity with construction software and project management tools.
7. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
8. Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
