Wexford is a county located in the province of Leinster, Ireland.
The ideal candidate for this Residential Support Worker position will be working in a residential setting supporting individuals with all activities of daily living and enabling them to live independent lives in line with HIQA national standards.
Key Responsibilities
* To empower Service Users to live independently within their residential home and community by assisting with daily tasks, encouraging independence and promoting autonomy.
* Transportation of service users is required to facilitate access to all daily living activities such as social events, medical appointments, shopping and leisure activities.
* Participate in household duties including cooking, laundry, general cleaning, and shopping to ensure a clean and safe environment for all residents.
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and service users to provide high-quality care and support.
* Monitor and report any potential hazards or incidents and implement safe work practices at all times.
* Engage actively in team meetings, supervisions, training, and other team events to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements and Qualifications
* A relevant QQI qualification within the Healthcare Sector - Minimum Level 5 is required.
* Applicants must be 18+ years old and possess a full clean manual driving license and access to own transport.
* Excellent command of spoken and written English is essential.
* Familiarity with HIQA standards and experience in social care or a related sector are highly desirable.
