Fertility Nurse/Midwife Role
Job Description
The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care in all aspects of fertility treatment. This includes investigation, consultation, scheduling of treatment, phlebotomy, ultrasound scanning and telephone counselling.
Excellent communication skills are essential for this role as the nurse/midwife will be interacting with patients from diverse backgrounds. They must demonstrate empathy, respect and confidence in their interactions with patients.
The nurse/midwife will also be responsible for mentoring junior staff members in areas such as active listening, verbal and non-verbal communication, respect, empathy, confidence, friendliness, clarity and concision clinical/technical competencies.
1. >Strong competence in the use of Microsoft Office
2. >Strong competence in all aspects of patient databases.
3. > Legislative Requirements:
The fertility nurse/midwife will need to understand data protection guidelines including screening couples,
OBTAINING CONSENT, AND FOLLOW THE CLINIC’S ESTABLISHED POLICIES AND PROCEDURES TO ENSURE DATA PROTECTION GUIDELINES ARE ADHERED TO🚣.
