Urology Nursing Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Urology Nursing Specialist to provide expert clinical care, emotional support, education, and coordination for patients with urological conditions across the continuum of care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Acting as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients with urological conditions.
* Providing specialist nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
* Serving as a keyworker for patients, offering continuity and coordination throughout their treatment journey.
* Attending and contributing to urology outpatient clinics, including PSA clinics and diagnostic consultations.
* Liaising with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient pathways and timely interventions.
Patient Support and Advocacy:
* Offering emotional support and education to patients and their families/carers.
* Advocating for patients, helping them understand their diagnosis and treatment options.
* Providing information on available resources, including palliative care and community services.
Quality and Audit:
* Participating in clinical audits and service evaluations to improve care delivery.
* Contributing to research initiatives and quality improvement projects.
* Ensuring accurate documentation and data entry into relevant systems.
