GPU Performance Modelling Engineer | Cork, IrelandA world-renowned Semiconductor Giant is seeking a Performance Modelling Engineer to join their specialist team in Cork.In this role, you will be a key contributor to the Graphics System team, focused on creating the performance simulators for next-generation graphics cores. You will be responsible for the architectural design and development of GPU models, using advanced methodologies to ensure high-performance compute capabilities with minimal power consumption.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop bitwise accurate functional and performance models (C-Model) using C++ to simulate new architectures.Define development scopes and create algorithms for specific functional blocks within the GPU.Execute functional verification and validation using C-Model and RTL simulation.Conduct performance analysis, stress testing, and random testing to stabilise complex GPU and compute systems.Collaborate cross-functionally with architects, hardware designers, and the driver and compiler teams.Professional experience in Performance Modelling using C++.A strong grasp of Computer Architecture and Graphics Pipelines.Exceptional debugging skills and the ability to write clean, maintainable, and professional code.Familiarity with graphics or compute APIs such as Vulkan, DirectX, OpenGL, or OpenCL.Scripting proficiency in Python or Perl.Experience with SystemC and TLM (Transaction-Level Modelling).Knowledge of Verilog, System Verilog, or GPU compiler/driver development.Experience working within an Agile development environment.Interested?
