Director, Restructuring
KPMG BVI is seeking an ambitious and qualified professional to join our BVI team as a Director. The role as a Director includes the development and implementation of the business plan, collaboration with the firm's international network on complex cross-border matters, management of the local team and delivery of insolvency and restructuring assignments.
This is an exciting role and will offer the successful candidate a wealth of knowledge, experience and increased responsibility.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate solid experience of:
* Taking formal insolvency appointments as Liquidator in compulsory and voluntary liquidations and as a Receiver
* Driving high-profile restructuring assignments and investigations and complex cross-border matters, particularly across the BVI, Cayman Islands, UK, Hong Kong and PRC jurisdictions
* Delivering quality work product and a high level of client service
* Driving business and practice development
* Leading the professional development of staff
* Participating in and leading global business initiatives
* Establishing and developing relationships with potential and current clients
* Promoting an insolvency/ restructuring firm, particularly in the offshore market
Candidates must have the following qualifications, skills and attributes:
* Qualified accountant (ACA/CA/CPA/ACCA) and/or a holder of a recognised insolvency practitioner's license
* 12+ years' relevant work experience, including insolvency, restructuring and associated investigations
* Existing network of legal and fund contacts in BVI and Cayman Islands would be advantageous but is not required
* Highly motivated with a good business sense and commercial acumen
* Strong financial, business analytical and report writing skills
* Strong people management skills
* Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
