We are seeking an experienced Care Professional to lead our team and oversee the delivery of high-quality care in a safe and therapeutic environment for children seeking international protection.
Job Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding staff, working closely with the home manager to ensure regulatory requirements and company policies are met, and developing strategic plans to improve our care services.
Responsibilities:
* Developing strong relationships with young people to meet their physical, psychological, social, and emotional needs.
* Maintaining a caring, safe, stable, and professional environment that promotes the well-being of all residents.
* Collaborating with staff to develop educational plans and support participation in recreational activities.
* Ensuring accurate records and reports are kept and submitted as required.
* Overseeing budgets for young people, including clothing, school, and family access budgets.
* Attending child reviews, placement planning meetings, and other multi-disciplinary meetings.
Requirements:
* A degree or above in Social Care, Social Work, Health and Social, Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy, Youth & Community, Teaching, Nursing, Social Science, Addiction Counselling, Counselling / Psychotherapy, Family Support, Disability Studies, Applied Behavioural Analysis.
* Relevant experience working with children/young people from challenging backgrounds, preferably in a leadership role.
* Up-to-date knowledge of legislation surrounding Residential Childcare and Safeguarding.
* Ability to deliver reports and meet deadlines.
* A full driving licence is desirable but not essential.
