Field Trials Assistant
As a Field Trials Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting scientific staff with trial management, data collection, and laboratory processes. Your primary objective will be to assist in the execution of field trials, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with field trials, including measurement and collection of agronomic data
* Perform manual fieldwork in varying weather conditions
* Input and manage data with accuracy and consistency
* Follow established laboratory protocols and procedures
Additional responsibilities may include:
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized working environment
* Carrying out manual handling of plant material for sampling and analysis
* Performing other duties as allocated by management in support of research activities
This role requires sufficient physical fitness to work outdoors for extended periods, involving bending, stretching, walking, standing, and lifting plant material.
Requirements
* Experience in fieldwork or practical outdoor roles
* Familiarity with data handling and entry
* Experience working as part of a team
* Full driving licence
Desirable skills include:
* Access to a personal vehicle for travel between work locations
* Understanding of laboratory procedures and protocol-based work
