We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to lead cloud architecture design and migration initiatives across newly acquired organizations. This role will focus on enabling seamless cloud adoption while ensuring minimal business disruption.The ideal candidate will design and oversee lift‑and‑shift (rehost) migrations from on‑premises environments into Microsoft Azure, in accordance with the client's strategic direction. The primary objective is to ensure smooth, low‑risk transitions by migrating workloads with minimal changes, avoiding refactoring during the initial phase.Following the migration, the Azure Architect will collaborate with application teams to support post‑migration modernization, refactoring, and optimization initiatives, which will be executed in later phases.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and architect lift-and-shift migrations of on‑prem workloads to Microsoft Azure for newly acquired firms.Develop scalable, secure, and resilient Azure landing zones aligned with enterprise cloud standards.Perform detailed discovery and assessment of existing on‑prem applications, infrastructure, and dependencies.Define migration strategies that prioritize: Minimal end‑user impactReduced operational riskAvoiding refactoring during initial migrationCreate migration runbooks, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including networking, security, and application SMEs.Ensure adherence to cloud governance, security controls, and best practices.Troubleshoot and resolve issues during and after migration.Required Skills & ExperienceProven experience architecting and executing Azure cloud migrations, specifically lift‑and‑shift approaches.Strong understanding of Azure DevOps, Azure services such as VM, VNet, Storage Accounts, ASR, Azure Migrate, IAM, and Landing Zone architecture.Experience with hybrid connectivity (VPN, ExpressRoute), identity integration, and security frameworks.Ability to analyze legacy on‑prem infrastructures and translate them into cloud-ready architectures.Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
