Our mission is to empower businesses by unlocking their potential through access to growth funding.The RoleThe Senior Credit Analyst will support Financefair's SME funding and receivables finance activities through high-quality credit analysis, underwriting, and portfolio monitoring. The role is designed for a developing credit professional who can independently assess risk, contribute to credit decisioning, and support the evolution of Financefair's credit framework while operating within established policies and governance.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct and review underwriting of SME financing applications and ongoing portfolio monitoring by analysing financial statements, cash flow, management accounts, and transactional dataActively monitor the credit portfolio, identifying emerging risks, early warning indicators, and deterioration trends, and proactively escalating material risk issues with proposed mitigants to senior stakeholdersLiaise with internal and external advisors (e.g. legal, insolvency practitioners) on transaction-specific matters when requiredAssist in the maintenance and continuous improvement of credit procedures and documentationUtilise credit systems, data tools, and fintech platforms to enhance underwriting efficiency and accuracyProvide guidance to graduate analysts and interns, including reviewing work, sharing best practices, and supporting their development in credit analysis and risk judgementThe Ideal CandidateMinimum 2 years' experience in credit analysis, risk, lending, banking, or audit within financial servicesDegree in finance, business, economics, accounting, or a related discipline/work experienceCurious, adaptable and tech-savvy, with an interest in fintech and data-driven credit assessment.
