Due to continued expansion, we are seeking to recruit a Ecologist to join our growing team.Why Join us?This is an exciting opportunity for a Ecologist with a few years' industry experience to step up into a key role within a growing multidisciplinary consultancy.We are looking for someone with strong initiative, a professional work ethic, and the motivation to take ownership of projects.Role OverviewThe successful candidate will play a key role in delivering ecological surveys, assessments, and reporting to support planning applications, environmental impact assessments, and biodiversity management plans.Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake habitat, flora, and fauna surveys including bats, birds, and aquatic speciesPrepare Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA) and Natura Impact Statements (NIS)Input into Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs)Liaise with clients, regulators, and project stakeholdersSupport senior staff in project delivery and contribute to business developmentRequirementsDegree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related disciplineMinimum 3 years' relevant professional experienceStrong field skills and knowledge of Irish habitats and protected speciesProficiency with QGISFamiliarity with relevant legislation and policy (e.g., Habitats Directive, Wildlife Acts)Experience preparing ecological reports and assessmentsFull clean driving licenseBenefitsCompetitive salary.Flexible working arrangements.CPD support and career progression opportunities.Inclusive and collaborative work environment.
