Job Purpose
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for the performance, development, and ongoing support of an assigned element of the Hyundai dealer network. Reporting to the Head of Sales, the role will focus on driving retail sales performance, strengthening dealer relationships, and ensuring Hyundai brand standards and commercial objectives are achieved across the region under their remit.

Key Responsibilities
Dealer Network Management
Take full responsibility for the sales performance of an allocated group of Hyundai dealers
Build strong, professional relationships with Dealer Principals, General Managers, and Sales Managers
Act as the primary point of contact between Hyundai Cars Ireland and the assigned dealer network
Sales Performance & Retail Focus
Drive retail sales volumes, model mix, and profitability in line with company targets
Support dealers in the execution of retail sales strategies, campaigns, and product launches
Monitor dealer performance against KPIs and agree action plans where required
Use retail selling experience to coach, challenge, and support dealer sales teams
Business Planning & Reporting
Support dealers with business planning, forecasting, and performance reviews
Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity within the area
Prepare regular reports and updates for the Head of Sales
Brand & Standards
Ensure Hyundai brand standards are maintained across the dealer network
Support compliance with sales processes, policies, and customer experience standards
Ensure all stocking standards are in line with the expectation of the brand standards
Collaboration & Internal Liaison
Work closely with internal teams including marketing, fleet, aftersales, distribution & IT
Support the rollout of national initiatives and dealer program's
Provide feedback from the dealer network to inform wider sales strategy
Skills & Experience
Essential
Proven experience in retail car sales, ideally within a franchised dealer environment
Strong understanding of dealer operations and the retail automotive market
Commercially focused with a track record of delivering sales results
Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills
Ability to analyze performance data and translate it into clear actions
Full clean driving license
Desirable
Previous experience in an area, regional, or field-based sales role
Experience working with dealer networks or multi-site retail operations

Professional, credible, and confident when dealing with senior dealer stakeholders
Highly organized with the ability to work independently in a field-based role
