We are seeking a seasoned Financial Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the financial strategy of our organization.


Job Description

The Financial Controller will be responsible for leading the day-to-day financial operations of our hotel. This includes:

* Producing accurate financial reports, including revenue forecasts, cost and profitability analyses, P&L accounts, and budget packs.
* Reporting and reconciling daily revenue.
* Overseeing purchase orders and invoice processing, ensuring correct coding and timely supplier payments in line with financial policies.
* Liaising with payroll for processing, BACS payments, and monthly PAYE reconciliations.
* Managing credit control to ensure debts are collected in line with policy, including debtor and creditor reconciliations.
* Preparing monthly management accounts in line with financial policy and bank reporting requirements.
* Ensuring all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and actioned monthly.
* Submitting quarterly VAT returns.

In addition, the successful candidate will implement and support property operating policies and procedures, and coordinate documentation for financial audits.


Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

* A proven track record as a Financial Controller within the hotel industry.
* Confident, articulate communication skills with excellent interpersonal abilities.
* Strong process orientation and a positive approach to change.
* Ability to coach and support team members.
* Highly organized, systematic, and deadline-driven.
* Analytical, detail-focused, and proactive.
* Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems, particularly Sage Line 50, Alkimii, and Procure Wizard.
