Our client is a well-regarded and expanding Professional Services firm with a growing Debt Advisory practice focused on mid-market and Private Equity-backed transactions. As part of its strategic growth plans, the firm is seeking to appoint a Director to lead and drive origination activity within the debt advisory team.

Who should apply?
This opportunity will suit a senior debt professional currently operating at Director level within an advisory boutique or a senior Director within a bank who is ready to transition into a client-led advisory environment. The ideal candidate will have:
Current experience as a Director within a debt advisory boutique, or a senior Director within a bank with a strong origination track record
Demonstrated ability to independently generate and execute debt mandates
Strong relationships across lenders, Private Equity, and corporate clients
A clear understanding of the difference between banking execution and advisory-led origination
Commercial drive, credibility and the confidence to build and lead from the front
Role and Reporting Lines
Reporting to the senior leadership team, this Director will take primary responsibility for origination and growth of the debt advisory practice. Responsibilities will include:
Origination Leadership – Proactively generating new mandates through established and new market relationships
Relationship Development – Building and deepening relationships with corporates, sponsors and lending institutions
Market Positioning – Enhancing the firm’s profile in the debt advisory space through visible and credible engagement
Mandate Conversion – Leading client pitches and converting opportunities into live transactions
Deal Oversight – Overseeing execution teams to ensure high-quality delivery of advisory mandates
Practice Growth – Contributing to strategic planning and scaling of the debt advisory function
Cross-Selling – Leveraging the wider firm’s platform to identify and develop new opportunities
Team Mentorship – Supporting and developing Senior Managers and Managers within the team
