BAR 1661 has achieved global recognition for its creativity, service, and guest experience — and the AGM plays a critical role in protecting and enhancing this reputation every single day.The AGM is directly accountable for driving sales, profit, people development, and guest service standards. They are the operational heartbeat of the venue: highly visible in service, leading from the team, ensuring smooth operations, and creating an unforgettable guest experience.Alongside strategic oversight from the Multi-Site Operations Manager, the AGM is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of BAR 1661, including staff scheduling, holiday planning, liaising with the Experiences team, financial reporting, and ensuring the venue is consistently optimised for peak performance.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & ProfitabilityDeliver revenue and profit targets set for BAR 1661.Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly trading performance, reporting back with insights and actions.Prepare weekly financial reporting for the Multi-Site Operations Manager.Support delivery of management accounts on a bi-monthly basis.Manage labour and COGS to achieve agreed financial targets.Work with third-party brands to increase profits and maximise partnership value.Market and activate corporate events and private hire to grow revenue.Guest Experience & Service LeadershipBe a constant and visible presence in service, especially during peak hours.Implement and uphold brand values and sequence of service to ensure a world-class guest experience.Quickly resolve guest concerns, ensuring a seamless and memorable journey.Liaise with the Experiences team to schedule and deliver tastings, masterclasses, and special events without disrupting regular service.Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to maintain a 5-star reputation.Team Leadership & People DevelopmentLead, coach, and inspire the 1661 team, ensuring motivation, accountability, and alignment with brand standards.Manage rotas two weeks in advance, balancing labour efficiency with service standards.Oversee daily staff scheduling, ensuring the venue is fully staffed and optimised.Manage holiday planning to maintain service coverage and compliance with company policy.Ensure no team member works more than 48 hours per week or five straight shifts.Ensure all staff are contracted in line with company policy.Deliver updated staff training manuals and structured onboarding.Build, mentor, and define clear roles for a dedicated front of house and bar team.Implement in-house training schedules to develop team knowledge and skills.Operational & Administrative ExcellenceOversee daily venue operations, including opening, closing, and shift handovers.Ensure the standards, upkeep, and cleanliness of the venue at all times.Maintain stock levels, ensuring the venue is fully stocked and prepared at all times.Implement scalable stock-taking systems.Organise the team to execute standard SOPs across the bar and floor.Maintain accurate records of drinks recipes, R&D, and company assets.Schedule events and tastings, reporting weekly to the marketing department.Support the implementation of brand extensions within the business.Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and operational policies.Key AttributesCan-Do Attitude: Positive, solutions-focused, and proactive in overcoming challenges.Strong Communicator: Clear, confident, and effective in engaging with both guests and team members.Structured & Organised: Highly capable in rota planning, scheduling, reporting, and operational discipline.Commercially Skilled: Strong understanding of P&L levers, with experience managing labour, COGS, and profitability.Hospitality-Obsessed: Passionate about delivering exceptional guest service and premium hospitality experiences.Hands-On Leader: Highly visible during service and peak hours, setting the tone for excellence.People Developer: Experienced in coaching, training, and building high-performing teams.Detail-Oriented: Committed to venue standards, consistency, and continuous improvement.Performance MeasuresSales revenue weekly forecasted target.Maintain a gross profit margin of no less than 72%.Maintain labour costs of no more than 33% of revenue.Weekly trade performance reports prepared and submitted.Rotas produced two weeks in advance and aligned to labour budget.All staff contracted correctly and scheduled within the 48-hour working time directive.Successful delivery of onboarding and updated training manuals.Dedicated FOH and bar team fully staffed and engaged.Guest satisfaction and review scores maintained at 5-star standards. – Add where we want reviews reported from – Trip advisor, google, Sevenrooms.· Events, tastings, and brand partnerships successfully scheduled, delivered, and reported.· Venue consistently clean, stocked, and maintained to brand standards.Job Type: Full-timePay: €40,000.00-€52,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
