The Machine Operator is required to work on Civils Projects in various locations in IrelandDuties include:· Operate power-driven machinery safely and securely for sewer, water, drainage and gas pipelines.· Lubricating and fuelling machine and undertaking minor repair work· Carrying out excavator inspections to ensure good functioning· Digging foundations and levelling the ground· Carrying out operations that lift large volumes of material· Fitting various ancillary equipment to the excavator and operating it· Understanding and interpreting technical drawings and plans· Demolishing any existing structure· Digging trenches to lay pipes that will supply water to the future buildingRequirements:· Adept with excavating mechanism· Proficient in observing hand signals, grade stakes and other markings when operating machines· Well-versed in moving hand levers to start and stop digging equipment and to raise or lower it for correct depth of trench· Adept in undertaking machine repair and maintenance work· Well-versed in directing Ground Workers engaged in activities, such as moving stakes or markers· Ability to complete demanding physical duties and complete challenging problem-solving tasks· Remain in challenging physical positions for long periods of time· Lifting a minimum of 23 kilograms· Monitoring equipment as well as maintain a safe work environment· Setting up machines so they are ready to use· Following established rules and procedures· Carrying out safety checks on the machineryEssential:Eligible to work and drive in IrelandSafe passDrivers LicenceCSCS TicketsPrevious experienceJob Type: Full-timePay: From €21.50 per hourExpected hours: 39 – 45 per weekBenefits:Company pensionSick payApplication question(s):What CSCS Card / Tickets do you hold?Experience:Machine operation: 3 years (preferred)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
