Join our multinational team of intelligent, motivated, and collaborative people, and help us make financial protection accessible to all.A Brief OverviewThe Financial Accountant, EMEA a key member of the Financial & Regulatory Reporting team, is responsible for general accounting processes for several businesses across EMEA and supports the financial and regulatory reporting team in preparing and checking financial and regulatory reports.What you will doPlay a key role in the day-to-day general accounting processes for fixed assets, bank, and general expenses including payroll etc. as well as intercompany and tax settlements.Support the regulatory reporting team in rolling forward, preparing and checking financial and regulatory reports and deliverables.Work with the relevant teams to ensure a smooth and controlled month/quarter end process.Contribute to the streamlining of accounting processes to achieve appropriate, efficient, effective and consistent accounting and reporting practices and procedures.Support Financial Planning & Analysis with any insights and queries.Respond to any internal or external queries on assigned work.Play an important role in initiatives for the EMEA Finance team as required.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's Degree, or equivalent, preferredProfessional accountancy qualification e.g. ACCA/ACA required3+ years auditing (or combined accounting and auditing) experience preferredExperience with financial services preferredProficient in Excel and other Microsoft applicationsPeopleSoft or other accounting software applications experience preferredSkillset The type of person who will do well in this role can demonstrate the following:Detail-oriented, organised and focused on quality;Good ability to work using own initiative, take ownership of assigned work and work well as part of a multi-location team;Ability to effectively manage own workload through prioritisation, work within given timescales and manage time-sensitive activities simultaneously.Strong communication skills.Curious to learn, understand and develop, with a can do attitude.What you can expect from RGA:Gain valuable knowledge from and experience with diverse, caring colleagues around the world.Enjoy a respectful, welcoming environment that fosters individuality and encourages pioneering thought.Join the bright and creative minds of RGA, and experience vast, endless career potential.
