Fractional Finance Manager / Financial Controller
to provide strong financial oversight, structure, and strategic insight on a part-time basis.
This role is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with founders and senior leadership in a values-driven, fast-moving environment.
The Role
The Fractional Finance Manager / Financial Controller will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while also providing strategic financial guidance to support growth and decision-making. You will ensure robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and compliance, while helping the business plan for the future. Reporting to the Finance Director. This role is expected to be 3 days per week.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Reporting
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
* Monitor and manage cash flow, forecasting, and working capital
* Deliver timely and accurate financial insights to support business decisions
* Oversee budgeting and reforecasting processes
Financial Control & Compliance
* Maintain strong financial controls and processes
* Ensure compliance with Irish accounting standards and tax requirements
* Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors
* Oversee VAT returns, payroll coordination, and statutory filings
Strategic & Commercial Support
* Act as a trusted financial partner to the leadership team
* Provide cost analysis, pricing support, and margin analysis
* Support business planning, growth initiatives, and investment decisions
* Identify efficiencies and opportunities to improve financial performance
Systems & Process Improvement
* Review and improve existing financial systems and processes
* Support the implementation or optimisation of accounting software and reporting tools
Experience & Skills Required
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
* Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or similar senior finance role
* Experience working with SMEs or scaling businesses (wellness, consumer, or services sectors an advantage)
* Strong knowledge of Irish accounting, tax, and compliance requirements
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Hands-on, pragmatic approach with strong attention to detail
* Comfortable working in a fractional or part-time capacity
