Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Development Manager to drive business growth, build strong client relationships, and support senior leadership in delivering strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Planning & Succession Management: Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to identify future leadership needs and develop personal development plans for progression. Execute strategic initiatives that align with long-term business goals.
* Business Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the logistics and supply chain sectors. Create tailored proposals and presentations for prospective clients. Conduct market research to anticipate industry trends and competitive activity.
* Account Management: Nurture existing client relationships to ensure high satisfaction and retention. Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts. Negotiate contracts and agreements in line with commercial objectives.
* Leadership Support: Act as a liaison between operational teams and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure alignment of commercial strategies. Provide regular reporting and analysis on sales performance, market developments, and client feedback. Support budget planning, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in commercial management, account management, or business development roles.
* Strong background in logistics, supply chain, or transportation.
* Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
* Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities and commercial acumen.
* Ability to work closely with senior leadership and contribute to succession planning.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM systems preferred.
