Overview
Relief Social Care Worker - Co. Carlow at Odyssey Social Care. Location: Moneybeg, Co. Carlow. This role involves acting as the support and care worker to young people in the residential house, contributing to better outcomes for young people every day. The post requires evening, weekend and residential shift work.
Responsibilities
* Act as the support and care worker for young people referred to the house.
* Contribute to needs assessments and implement aspects of Placement, Behaviour Support (BSP), and Individual Crisis Management (ICMP) Plans.
* Use the Odyssey Model of Care to teach new skills and manage challenging behaviour.
* Connect the young person with local resources, network with local providers, and liaise with parents/carers and referral agencies.
* Collaboration within the care team to ensure a safe, supportive environment.

* Salary: €225 for a 15-hour shift; €367.50 for a 24.5-hour shift.

What You Bring
* Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related field that meets CORU registration criteria.
* Relevant qualifications may include: Psychology (Level 8), Level 7 in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Counselling/Psychotherapy, Addiction Counselling, Youth and Community Work, Social Sciences, Family Support, Disability Studies, Applied Behavioural Analysis, Early Years Care (for U12 centres), BA Applied Policing, Higher Certificate in Custodial Care, Teaching, and Nursing.
* Full manual Irish driving licence.
* Ability to work with and support young people; commitment to continuous improvement; positive role model within a care team.

Required Criteria
* Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related field.
