This position will be a 12-month FTC with the potential for permanency after 12 months. Responsible for the safe, efficient running of the Kiefel Thermoforming machines, working as part of a team to manufacture products to the highest Quality specifications. Key Responsibilities: Adhere to Safety Procedures at all times. Report all accidents/incidents, and near misses to the Safety Officer and Line Leader. Complete tool changes and set thermoforming and roller press machines to complete roll changes. Produce product to the requisite Quality specifications concerning Quality Instructions as outlined in the Online folders. Ensure all process Checks /measurements as outlined in Online folders are complete/timely/accurate Carry out the above tasks whilst conforming to good manufacturing practice (GMP) keeping the work environment clean, safe and orderly You must inform store personnel when Material stock is running low You must inform the Line Leader/Production Supervisor when you have a problem with tools, equipment, plant, facilities, machines or moulds. You must inform the Line leader/Production Supervisor when you have a problem with a production line You must get the Quality Dept approval of concessions on the Quality Spec During production, your priorities are: 1. Safety 2. No Rework 3. Low Scrap 4. Targets met as per schedule on Online Folders/APS On completion of each run, you are responsible for ensuring tools are taken down and the proper protective covering applied. If any defects are noticed on the tools, a work order must be opened on Pragma On Key and sent to the appropriate person to carry out repairs and the Production Supervisor. Participate in Improvement activities utilising Lean Manufacturing principles/tools Ensure all non-conforming material/product is controlled via the relevant SOP At the beginning and end of every run, the technician must ensure line clearance is completed as per SOP.
