Overview
The re:Cycle Reverse Logistics organization’s Operations Integration team is seeking a detail-oriented, curious, and self-driven Manager of System Operations to support the organization by maintaining and continuously improving day-to-day global system operations. This includes managing and prioritizing system incidents for resolution with a 3P system service provider, evaluating and driving quality, reliability, and accuracy in system performance and data, conducting regular audits for system, reporting, and security threats, analyzing system and operational KPIs to drive continuous improvement, and serving as the primary liaison to manage escalations, last-mile system changes, and requirements for non-self-serviceable system enhancements.
In addition to managing a variety of system-related metrics, the role will oversee the team’s global System Administrators who support localized day-to-day system operations and configurations for 450+ worldwide users, and Data Stewards who ensure reliability in the data feeding 70+ data tables used for financial, environmental sustainability, and regulatory reporting. The role frequently interfaces with the system’s 3P service provider to manage functional and data incidents and user licensing, and to facilitate regular performance reviews. This position blends people, systems, operations, and data management within a high-performing product team to ensure system readiness in support of global warehouse operations that maximize asset lifecycle value and environmental sustainability for used electronics.
Key responsibilities
* Managing and developing a high-performing team of System Administrators and Data Stewards to ensure optimum output and adaptability as the organization grows
* Managing ticket queues, prioritization, tradeoffs, and stakeholder communications for system features and data incidents with 3P service providers and internal software teams
* Owning and regularly presenting metrics, findings, priorities, and communications to internal and external stakeholders and leadership to manage timelines and expectations
* Conducting and coordinating system, data, and operation security audits to proactively identify and resolve vulnerabilities
* Conducting and coordinating system, data, ticket queue, and operation analyses to drive continuous improvements in day-to-day operations
* Driving collaboration, alignment, documentation, and communications to prepare systems and global operations for last-mile system changes
About The Team
The re:Cycle Reverse Logistics organization provides centralized processing for disassembly, sorting, function testing, in-warranty return, repair/refurbish, data erasure, and disposition of server and networking assets. The Operations Integration team maintains, improves, and develops new features in warehouse management and allocation systems that track assets from arrival to departure across five global facilities, ensuring reliable and repeatable operational and asset safety, traceability, and sustainability reporting.
Basic Qualifications
* 2+ years of software systems management and/or 3+ years of operations management in warehousing, supply chain, manufacturing, or reverse logistics
* 2+ years of direct report people management
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Warehouse Operations, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field, or 4+ additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree
* 2+ years using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience managing a remote or globally distributed team
* Proven track record of improving metrics and performance to SLA
* Hands-on experience with warehouse management and/or inventory control systems
* Experience managing a 3rd party vendor
* Experience using data mining and data visualization tools (SQL, Tableau, QuickSight, etc.)
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to translate complex problems for non-technical audiences
* Experience using AWS platforms (S3, Redshift, etc.)
