Job Title: Technical Solutions Specialist
The ideal candidate will have the ability to be based in our Kerry or Cork campus.
Project Overview:
We are currently undertaking a project to merge our cloud-based Banner Student Records Management System (SRMS) instances located in both campuses.
The baseline system has undergone customisations to support our university's business practices.
This role as a Technical Solutions Specialist will provide technical analysis and development input to our team, overseeing the maintenance & application of Banner standards and becoming an expert in developing applications & reporting tools used with the SRMS, working closely with colleagues to enhance the system.
The SRMS is built on Oracle database technology and is hosted in the cloud.
A significant portion of this role involves PL/SQL programming.
We utilise eVisions Argos for operational reporting.
Banner also provides several development tools for forms.
This role will involve activities such as:
* Designing and implementing solutions to meet user requirements;
* Developing and maintaining databases and systems;
* Providing training and support to users;
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you will need:
* Experience working with Oracle database systems;
* Strong understanding of PL/SQL programming;
* Ability to design and develop robust and scalable database solutions;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Familiarity with Banner Student Records Management System (SRMS);
* Degree in Computer Science or related field.
