Overview
Exciting opportunities have arisen for the position of a full-time Administrative Assistant at Morris's Builders Providers, DIY & Garden Centre. This is a great opportunity for experienced candidates to join a company celebrating over 40 years as a leading provider of building, trade and plumbing products in the southeast, in addition to electrical and soft furnishing products. This full-time role involves 39 hours per week across five days.
Responsibilities
* Reports to the Financial Controller.
* Compile individual sales reports for all departments (electrical, building materials & timber, and shop) and email reports to managers daily.
* Complete cash reconciliation and update the cash book; confidently handling large quantities of cash.
* Prepare reports and tills; investigate any anomalies and report queries to management.
* Respond to enquiries promptly and accurately.
* Assist in company stocktakes.
* Be flexible and prepared to undertake such other work as may be assigned to you by the company from time to time.
* Additional duties include cover for credit control, switchboard and general functions assigned by the Financial Controller.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
* Ability to organise time effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a busy environment.
* Good telephone etiquette and manner.
* High energy and the ability to work towards goals without constant supervision.
* Efficient with a proven track record of meeting deadlines and following through to completion.
