We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Administrator to join our Information Systems team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and maintaining Linux hosting environments, ensuring system stability, security, and performance across on-premise and cloud platforms.Key Responsibilities:Take ownership of assigned incidents, service requests, and operational tickets within the Linux hosting environmentTroubleshoot and resolve ICT service issues in collaboration with Information Systems colleaguesPerform day-to-day system administration and ensure systems are operating efficiently and securelyMaintain, patch, and upgrade Red Hat Linux environments in line with security and compliance standardsMonitor system performance, availability, and capacitySupport and enhance DevOps policies, standards, and proceduresMaintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentationLiaise with third-party vendors and service providersConduct regular disaster recovery testing and ensure backup and recovery documentation is currentTechnical Environment: Modern and diverse technology stack, includingOperating Systems: RHEL 8 (with upgrade to RHEL 10 planned)Automation & Scripting: Ansible Automation Platform, Automation Hub, BashVersion Control: Git (Bitbucket), SVNCI/CD: Jenkins, SonarQube, SonatypeAbout YouYou will bring a strong technical background combined with a structured, proactive approach to system administration/Minimum 7 years’ experience in a senior or equivalent Linux administration roleAdvanced understanding of Linux concepts, systems, and infrastructureStrong knowledge of policies, standards, and controls within a large enterprise or financial services environmentExperience working with third-party vendorsRelevant technical certifications or accreditationsPrevious experience working within financial institutions or regulated environmentsStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent organisational, time-management, and prioritisation skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work to defined SLAs and take ownership of issuesHigh attention to detail and commitment to qualityTeam-focused, flexible, and proactive work attitudeCandidates must have Stamp 4, EU or Irish passport and be in IrelandSend your CV to shane.doolin@realtime.jobs
