With a focus on excellent customer service, we are looking for a Plumbing Department Manager to join our team.
This is a newly created, hands-on leadership position suited to an experienced plumbing professional. The successful candidate will have full accountability for the plumbing department, driving sales performance, operational standards, and outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take ownership of the plumbing department's performance, setting and achieving sales and margin targets.
* Grow both trade and retail business through strong product knowledge and effective add-on selling.
* Provide expert advice on plumbing products and systems to trade and DIY customers, including after sales support when required.
* Maintain a clean, well-merchandised plumbing area with clear layouts and commercially appealing displays.
* Train and support team members to develop plumbing expertise and confidence across the team.
* Stay informed on new products, technologies, and market developments within plumbing and heating.
What We're Looking For:
* Strong plumbing product knowledge, gained within a plumbing merchant, hardware store, trade counter, or similar environment.
* Proven experience in customer-facing sales, with a professional and solutions-focused approach.
* Excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage effectively with both trade and retail customers.
