Medforce are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join an acute multidisciplinary team.
The hospital provides a wide range of acute services.
In-Patient specialties include: General Medicine General Surgery Gynaecology They also provide care through Urgent Care Centre, incorporating: Local Injuries Unit Medical Assessment Unit Additional services available include: Consultant Out-Patient Clinics Diagnostic Radiological and Laboratory Services Day Surgery Clinical Nurse Specialists in Diabetes, Continence Management, Respiratory Care, Health Promotion, Infection Control, Palliative Care, and Pain Management Dietetic Service providing nutritional assessment, dietary advice, education, and evaluation Physiotherapy and Pharmacy Services Chaplaincy Service Role Summary As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in the assessment, planning, and delivery of occupational therapy interventions to patients across our acute specialties.
You will work closely with colleagues in the multidisciplinary team to support patient care, recovery, and safe discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and treatment for patients within the acute hospital setting.
Contribute to discharge planning and rehabilitation pathways.
Support and supervise junior occupational therapy staff and students.
Collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within the Occupational Therapy Department.
Candidate Requirements A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
A minimum of 3 years post-qualification clinical experience, with at least 2 years in an acute setting (desirable).
