Market Operations ManagerOverview:We are currently looking for a Market Operations Manager to join our expanding team.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the market participation of the company's demand response portfolio in Ireland and Northern Ireland.We are looking for someone with significant experience and a strong understanding of the Irish electricity market, ideally with experience managing capacity contracts including capacity bid preparation. A highly motivated, self-driven, analytical individual who is familiar with the Irish electricity policy & regulatory landscape. Strong communication skills with the ability to analyse complex material and communicate same to management, and the wider business, in a clear and succinct manner.The day-to-day role will involve the management of interactions with the electricity market operator, transmission system operator, distribution system operator, and other stakeholders, both internal and external to the company, as necessary to ensure the successful onboarding of additional capacity to the company's demand response portfolio and the optimal utilisation of existing capacity.Who we are and What we do:VIOTAS is a market-leading smart grid technology and services company headquartered in Limerick with offices in Melbourne, Krakow and Texas.Through us, large electricity customers actively participate in the electricity market to generate revenue in return for providing valuable services that help support the reliability of the power grid.Together, our clients can provide more power to the grid than some of the country's large power stations.These services are delivered via our own custom designed control and communication systems.Our state-of-the-art systems are designed to provide the fast frequency response services that are needed to facilitate increased integration of renewable energy on the power grid.The company was named the fastest growing technology company in Ireland at the Deloitte Fast 50 Awards in 2019. We are expanding globally, with plans to implement energy system services in a greater number of other countries.Key Responsibilities:Market compliance & operations: Manage market registrations, modifications, testing, and all regulatory submissions, ensuring timely market entry, ongoing compliance, and adherence to electricity market timelines and licence obligations.Regulatory & stakeholder engagement: Maintain strong working relationships with regulators, system operators, and internal teams, handling day-to-day queries, representing the business at forums, and coordinating cross-functional delivery.Market insight & strategy support: Lead cross-functional analysis and brainstorming to identify opportunities, translate insights into clear commercial recommendations, and advise the MD and SLT on market strategy.Internal coordination & reporting: Deliver concise, data-driven reports, presentations, and memos to stakeholders, while supporting commercial and operational teams to meet client, installation, and volume commitments.Essential Requirements:Previous relevant experience in the electricity industry.Exceptional attention to detail and a pragmatic approach.Able to work on own initiative with a high level of personal motivation.Strong communication skills, with an ability to summarise and clearly communicate complex material in a succinct manner to senior management and the wider businessA good understanding of policy and regulatory matters pertaining to the Irish electricity marketDESIRABLE:Experience managing capacity contracts in the Irish electricity sectorA deep understanding of the Irish electricity marketStrong analytical skillsJob Type:Full-Time, Permanent.Location:Limerick, Ireland (Hybrid).Salary:Competitive based on qualifications, experience, and skills.Benefits:Healthcare,Matched Pension Contribution up to 5% salary,Self-Directed Training Budget of €3,000 per year + 10 days training leave.Performance-based bonus
