Whats the purpose of role: An exciting opportunity for a full time Health Safety & Facilities Manager to join an airline catering company based in the Airport Logistics Park, St. Margret's. Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Reduce risk, losses, and exposure to the company by implementing dnatas Safety Management System (d SMS), standards, and processes aligned to industry best practices and local regulatory requirements. Communicate dnatas HSE policies, standards, procedures, and practices to colleagues and key stakeholders. Carry out workplace safety audits and ensure all remedial recommendations are implemented. Ensure HSE training is embedded into training plans; organise and deliver training courses for colleagues. Ensure all key colleagues are trained on d SMS and on incident reporting and investigation. Investigate all accidents and near misses; prepare and report findings with recommendations to prevent recurrence and implement approved actions. Prepare reports to enforcing authorities and the HSE where required. Provide technical expertise, advice, support, and direction on all matters related to Occupational Health & Safety, Environment, and Incident Management. Review and update internal health and safety policies and procedures in line with company best practice. Establish and oversee Occupational Health for the business, including global health processes, health standards, health monitoring, reporting, and occupational hygiene risk mitigation. Identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies across all areas of the business. Carry out risk assessments in line with current Health & Safety legislation. Ensure colleague awareness of and compliance with all HSE requirements. Maintain compliance with all required HSE training for colleagues. Develop emergency response plans; deliver training to responsible persons; ensure drills are conducted and corrective actions implemented. Compile and review Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules for all units. Audit all legislative aspects of maintenance in conjunction with unit management and Head Office compliance. Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with local legislation and Health & Safety requirements. Respond to maintenance queries, requests, and call-outs as required. Assist units in obtaining appropriate suppliers and quotations for small to medium projects or emergency works. Work with Procurement to compile and manage Service Contracts and Service Level Agreements. Liaise with contractors and specialist service providers (e.g., refrigeration, HVAC, fire systems). Liaise with managers daily regarding equipment requirements and facility needs Review and update the property and maintenance sections of the company Risk Register. Compile and manage Business Continuity Plans. This list is not exhaustive. Requirements: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and understand dependencies. The ability to prioritise and deal with various issues simultaneously Training and audit qualifications from a recognised institute or organisation. Previous knowledge and experience of the food manufacturing or food safety industry is desirable. Up to date knowledge of health and safety legislation and industry best practices. Experience in accident and incident investigations. Experience in Emergency Preparedness and Response, understand all potential emergency situations within sphere of influence (fire, chemical spills, medical, workplace violence, natural disasters) A flexible can-do approach to completing projects and initiatives.
