Role of this Position
* Responsibilities include recording manual entries in the enterprise resource planning system on a monthly basis, and before the second working day of the following month, related to management control needs or according to the accounting team's management areas.
* Monthly transactions and balances of French entities are analyzed, issued via the ERP, in USGAAP standards to support management control and record necessary adjustments.
* Participation in monthly closings in USGAAP standards through entries, analyses, and reporting is carried out according to the requests of management control and/or the group within the first four working days of each month.
* Balance sheet accounts for which the accounting team is responsible are reconciled in the group's reconciliation tool, according to the schedule determined by the group for each month.
* Declarations and taxes are filed, if necessary, to which the French entities are subject, according to the schedule and legal and tax obligations imposed by the administration.
* Annual accounting closing operations are performed in French standards for the fiscal year ending on 31/12, via the secondary book of the ERP, and statutory balance sheet balances are reconciled before April of the year following the fiscal year-end.
* Requests are responded to during internal, external, and statutory audits according to the auditors' schedule.
* Tax packages are prepared and validated in the tax declaration software before the tax deadline.
* The legal file for holding general meetings is prepared and validated before 30/06 for the fiscal year ending on 31/12.
* Monthly fixed assets and depreciation accounts are reconciled with the auxiliary module of the Oracle ERP and necessary adjustments are recorded.
Requirements (Must Haves):
* Good knowledge of French Accounting and taxation with a minimum of two years of significant, demonstrable, and relevant experience.
* Proficiency in French, both spoken and written.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
* Team spirit and internal customer partnership.
* Good communication skills.
* Problem-solving ability with a desire to continuously improve processes.
* Ability to effectively manage a high volume of data, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize with minimal supervision.
* Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of Oracle ERP, R12.
* Specific experience in shared services environments.
* Any other European language.
