Tasks & ResponsibilitiesThis role will involve successfully and efficiently co-ordinating the day-to-day External Yard Operations & Logistics in WBC Civils Ballymakenny Road Branch. This will include Managing External Yard Team, Logistics and Stock Control forthe Division.Key DutiesTransportation & LogisticsYou will have responsibility for all transport planning, efficiently planning deliveries, whilst ensuring am on time service.Work with the Sales and Yard team to load and dispatch the correct goods to our customers efficiently and safely.Build and own relationships with External transportation partners.Ensure that we are fully compliant with all RSA requirements and that all vehicles are kept compliant with RSA standards.Manage delivery drivers and schedule correct maintenance of company vehicles.Co-ordinate with Import partners bringing in containers of goods from various countries.Co-ordinate Inter Branch Transfers with other WBC Group BranchesAssist team Picking Orders and loading and offloadingYard Staff ManagementYou will co-ordinate all external yard operatives to ensure orders are picked and packed quickly, efficiently and accurately.Manage Yard staff queries and annual leave requestsCreate and implement SOPs for Yard team to reduce stock and picking errors.Ensure all Yard staff have their assigned locations tidy, mapped and labelled correctly and clearly.Goods InYou will work with the Yard team in co-ordinating incoming deliveries ensuring they are for the correct branch.Locate all correct documentation for incoming goods and accurately receipt into the ERP system.Work with Yard team to identify low stock and notify purchasing teamCheck off inward deliveries and report any discrepancies to the relevant suppliers.Ensure stock is moved to its correct storage location within 24hrs of receipt.StockEnsure all outbound orders are accurate as per delivery docket.Maintain accurate stock levels by implementing effective stock rotation, minimising damage, loss, and waste.Carry out regular stock checks and support monthly/quarterly stocktakes, ensuring discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.Monitor stock usage and report on fast-moving or slow-moving items to management, providing recommendations for re-ordering or clearance.Work closely with purchasing and sales teams to ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained to meet customer demand.Keep clear and up-to-date stock records using the company's stock control system.Identify and implement improvements in stock handling, layout, and storage to maximise efficiency and safety.Ensure all materials are clearly labelled and stored in appropriate locations for ease of access and accurate picking.Key SkillsExperience in Logistics and TransportWarehouse & Yard ManagementForklift LicenceDrivers LicenceStock ControlDemonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.Strong interpersonal and communications skills and ability to work with a wide range of both internal and external contacts.Strong attention to detail, commercially astute, analytical, and high degree of numeracyIT literate and able to work with Excel, PowerPoint, Fleet Management Systems etc.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:Bike to work schemeEmployee discountOn-site parkingEducation:Leaving Certificate (required)Experience:Similiar role: 1 year (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
