Senior Financial and Cost Accountant Job Summary:
About the Role
This Senior Financial and Cost Accountant position is responsible for preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and margin variance analysis to support accurate and timely financial statements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare journal entries related to manufacturing accounting in accordance with US GAAP and corporate financial policies.
* Conduct account reconciliations to ensure proper balance sheet valuation.
* Perform margin variance analysis, including PPV, Production, and Absorption variances.
* Monitor variances to standard cost and investigate significant differences.
* Participate in monthly close activities and provide finance guidance.
Requirements:
* Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
* Minimum 5 years' experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to exceed internal customer expectations on delivery of information and financial support.
* Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.
The successful candidate will possess advanced Excel skills, experience working in a multinational environment, and familiarity with IFRS. Knowledge of lean initiatives and intelligence reporting is also an advantage.
