We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/ Assistant Accountant to join a leading service provider in Dublin 24.
The role sits within a wider Irish group currently comprising four companies, with two additional acquisitions planned in the coming months and further expansion expected in the immediate future. Working across two of the group companies, the successful candidate will become a key part of a close-knit finance team and play an important role in supporting the continued growth of the business.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while supporting management reporting, audit preparation, and wider finance operations. Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day bookkeeping across two companies within the group
Accounts payable and receivable management
Supplier and customer invoice processing
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Payroll processing using BrightPay
Preparation and submission of VAT, PAYE/PRSI, RCT and relevant statutory returns
Assist with month-end close processes including preparation of first draft management accounts
Processing journals, accruals and prepayments
Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations within Xero
Supporting external accountants during year-end audit
Assisting with budgeting and financial reporting processes
General finance administration and ad hoc duties as required
Skills & Experience Required
3-5 years' experience in a bookkeeping or assistant accountant role
Strong working knowledge of Xero (Desirable)
Experience with payroll processing, ideally using BrightPay
Good understanding of VAT, PAYE/PRSI and general finance procedures
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage workload independently
Comfortable working across multiple entities
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Accounting Technician qualification or similar is advantageous but not essential
