Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Administrative Duties
* Manage your own caseload under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.
* Support residents in therapy sessions (1:1 and group) as per treatment plans.
* Assist in preparing and maintaining resources, equipment, and therapy environments.
* Keep accurate clinical notes and contribute to reports as needed.
* Help organise appointments, home visits, and follow-up assessments.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of care.
Resident Care
* Deliver interventions to improve mobility, independence, and functional activities (e.g., bathing, dressing, toileting).
* Support residents with rehabilitation following surgery, injury, stroke, or other health conditions.
* Educate and advise residents, families, and colleagues about therapeutic practices and equipment use.
* Monitor and report on residents' progress, ensuring interventions remain evidence-based and person-centred.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* Passionate about working with older adults and supporting their independence.
* Organised, flexible, and able to manage a varied caseload.
* A strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team.
* Committed to maintaining professional standards around confidentiality, ethics, and resident dignity.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
* QQI Level 5 (or equivalent) in Healthcare Support, Therapy Assistant, or related area.
* Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is an advantage.
