Job Description
The role involves leveraging statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to enhance actuarial models and optimise business processes. As an Actuarial Data Scientist, you will spend your day analysing complex datasets to assess risk and forecast financial outcomes.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop predictive models and provide insights that drive strategic decision-making.
* Develop innovative solutions for complex insurance challenges using advanced data science technologies.
Requirements
* Experience working in or collaborating with actuarial teams in general insurance with experience of statistical modelling/actuarial modelling using data science techniques.
* Actuarial knowledge of frequency and severity modelling as it relates to general insurance and motivated to use this knowledge in combination with data science models to build new solutions.
* Experience with a programming language and enthusiasm to learn and develop ability to use python.
* Ability to convey complex models and new technologies to non-technical audiences.
* Motivated to be at the cutting edge of technology and data science building new solutions to unsolved problems in the insurance sector.
