The Role
Reporting to the HR Manager, the Senior HR Business Partner will work in partnership with management and staff to deliver proactive, practical HR support across the full employee lifecycle. The role focuses on building organisational capability, supporting effective people management, and ensuring HR best practice and legislative compliance across the organisation. This is a varied and hands‑on role, suited to a confident HR professional who enjoys relationship‑building and working in a dynamic, values‑led environment.
Key Responsibilities
Providing day‑to‑day HR advice and support to managers and staff within assigned service areas
Supporting managers with employee relations matters, performance management and absence management
Participating in probation reviews, welfare meetings and exit interviews
Arranging Occupational Health referrals and liaising with relevant stakeholders
Recruitment & Onboarding
Support and guide managers through recruitment and selection processes
Working with managers to develop and update job descriptions
Coordinating onboarding processes, inductions and follow‑up meetings with new starters
Supporting recruitment initiatives such as career fairs and engagement events
HR Systems, Reporting & Projects
Acting as a key point of contact for the HRIS and Time Management System
Supporting managers and staff with HR system queries and liaising with system providers
Generating HR reports and metrics for management, committees and Board meetings
Supporting payroll notifications and contributing to HR projects, including CORU registration
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including HIQA and recruitment agencies
Qualifications
Degree in HR or a related discipline
Minimum of 5 years' experience in an HR Business Partnering role
Strong and up‑to‑date knowledge of Irish Employment Law
Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations cases
Experience using a recognised HRIS / Time Management System
Full clean driving licence and access to own transport
