A leading engineering organisation based in Galway is seeking an experienced
Mechatronic Technical Project Manager
to lead high-impact R&D programmes in a regulated environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for a driven and technically competent project manager ready to take ownership of innovative projects in the mechatronics domain.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead multidisciplinary
R&D mechatronic development projects
from concept through to production.
* Serve as the
technical point of contact
between customers and internal R&D teams.
* Collaborate with functional leads to ensure robust planning and timely project execution.
* Identify and mitigate project risks to maintain key milestones and deliverables.
* Work with functional managers to compile R&D costs for RFIs/RFQs.
* Deliver regular project updates to stakeholders, peers, and senior management.
* Provide support across quality, process, purchasing and related activities during SOP.
Essential Skills & Experience
* 5+ years of experience
managing cross-functional teams in regulated environments (automotive, medical devices, or similar sectors).
* Proven expertise in
technical project planning
and use of tools like Microsoft Project or equivalent.
* Strong background in
Mechanical or Hardware Engineering
.
* Solid understanding of
Design Validation (DV)
and
Process Validation (PV)
methodologies.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer-facing skills.
* Demonstrated experience across multiple technical disciplines including Mechanical, Hardware, and Software is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of engineering drawings and drawing control is beneficial.
