We are now hiring a Part timeStaff Nurse for our Local Injuries Unit in Naas.
Candidates must have an active NMBI Registration & experience in minor injuries/emergency medicine.
Responsibilities: To deliver excellent patient-focused care Responsible for the maintenance of a high standard of patient care which is achieved through professional education and development.
Take responsibility on each shift for the nursing care of Affidea patients Maintaining appropriate and accurate written nursing records and reports.
To ensure adequate levels of ward stocks/supplies are maintained.
To ensure that the working environment is as safe and healthy as possible for patients/ staff.
To work within the team and assist colleagues as necessary Ensure all Standards for the Prevention and Control of Healthcare Associated Infections, Hygiene Standards are implemented Attend onsite or offsite continuous professional development session Qualifications: Degree in General nursing Registered in the General division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) 3 years + post-registration general nursing experience, ideally in an acute general hospital with exposure to Paediatric Emergency Nursing Clinical experience in Primary Care/ Emergency Medicine is preferred Competencies: Analyse, report on, and effect change in nursing practice.

Ability to relate effectively and build productive relationships at all levels of a complex organisation.
Ability to handle a diverse and challenging workload.
Ability to analyse complex problems and develop practical solutions Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
Must possess strong, communication skills and clinical skills.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken Must be computer literate Flexibility and excellent use of initiative Negotiation and influence skills.
