Job Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable main contractor working on a prestigious new apartment development in Cork.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established business known for delivering high-quality residential projects across Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the entire lifecycle of cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the project
* Prepare and manage tender packages, subcontractor procurement, and contract administration
* Monitor project costs, variations, and valuations to ensure commercial targets are met
* Lead negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers
* Prepare monthly reports, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts
* Ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations
* Work closely with the site team to ensure cost efficiency and value engineering
Requirements:
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
* Minimum 5+ years' post-graduate experience, ideally in residential projects with a main contractor or developer
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Proven track record in managing multi-unit housing/apartment developments
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
