We’re hiring a Principal Android Engineer to lead the architecture and development of a large-scale, customer-facing mobile app used by a broad audience. This is a high-impact technical leadership role where you’ll shape mobile strategy, mentor engineers, and drive modern Android best practices across multiple teams.
You’ll work in cross-functional agile squads alongside Product, iOS, QA, and Engineering leaders to deliver high-quality, scalable mobile experiences. This is a key role in an ongoing digital transformation, with the opportunity to modernize the codebase and build new features from the ground up.
Required Experience:
10+ years of Android development experience, with 3+ years in a senior technical leadership role
Expert in Kotlin, Android SDK, and Jetpack Compose
Proven track record architecting, launching, and scaling production apps on Google Play
Strong expertise in mobile architecture, design patterns, and scalable systems
Experience with mobile testing, CI/CD, and release automation
Solid understanding of APIs, networking, security, and third‑party integrations
Excellent communicator who can influence technical decisions across teams
Strong problem‑solver who connects technical choices to business outcome
Key responsibilities & Duties Include:
Own and evolve the Android technical vision and architecture
Lead cross‑team design decisions and drive scalable, maintainable solutions
Mentor engineers and raise the bar for Android engineering standards
Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to balance speed, quality, and business impact
Improve app performance, reliability, observability, and release processes
Lead resolution of complex production issues and reduce technical debt
