Job Description

The Director of Finance, Legal and Corporate Affairs will play a critical role in ensuring the financial, legal, and corporate activities of our organisation are delivered to agreed standards and that we remain compliant with our legal and financial obligations.

This senior leadership position will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our financial strategy, planning, and performance. The successful candidate will also manage financial risk, forecasting, procurement policy, and cost control mechanisms to ensure long-term financial sustainability and regulatory compliance.

Additionally, this role will oversee our funding structure to ensure we have the necessary revenue to fund our current and capital expenditure requirements. The Director will also lead and manage the legal section, providing timely and accurate legal advice to our leadership team and across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

* Ensuring financial, legal, and corporate activities meet agreed standards and comply with regulations.
* Leading the development and implementation of our financial strategy, planning, and performance.
* Managing financial risk, forecasting, procurement policy, and cost control mechanisms.
* Overseeing our funding structure to ensure adequate revenue for current and capital expenditure requirements.
* Providing timely and accurate legal advice to our leadership team and across the organisation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

* A relevant professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
* Minimum 8 years post-qualification experience as a qualified accountant.
* Minimum 5 years senior leadership/management experience in a similar role, with a track record of delivering on business/regulatory objectives.
* In-depth knowledge of public sector financial management policies and guidelines.
* Experience managing legal, statutory, and regulatory compliance obligations of an organisation.
* Proven ability to work successfully with senior stakeholders, represent an organisational or policy position, and negotiate effectively to maintain that position.
* Significant experience in the leadership and motivation of large, high-performing multidisciplinary teams, enabling and enhancing a best-practice culture.

* Salary: €112,974 - €139,320 per annum (incremental scale).
