We are currently looking for a Director of Nursing - DON to lead our team and ensure we are offering the best standard of care to our Residents.
Responsibilities
* Conduct audits as directed by the management group or another appropriate authority.
* Create, document, and track KPIs based on those determined in management team meetings.
* Serve as the official in charge of handling compliments and complaints.
* Be the officer in charge of the following investigations and any reported safeguarding issues.
* Oversee the nursing home's administration and organisation.
* Continue to be aware of and keep an eye on the daily work and routine systems, reviewing them as needed.
* Engage with the management and operations staff.
Requirements
* Must be a registered nurse who is currently registered with the Irish Nursing and Midwifery Board (NMBI).
* Three years or more of post-registration experience caring for an elderly person.
* Three years or more of experience managing nurses, ideally in a nursing home or other long-term care facility.
* Possess at least a Level 8 degree in nursing or a similar healthcare discipline (an ordinary bachelor's degree or above).
* A postgraduate degree in healthcare management, nursing management, gerontology, or healthcare leadership is highly encouraged.
