Our client,
a multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy, is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their Cork-based team. This position provides an opportunity to work on impactful projects across residential, commercial, energy, and pharmaceutical sectors while fostering collaboration and achieving technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Design & Management
o Lead structural and civil engineering projects from initial concept through to completion.
o Ensure projects meet high technical standards and are delivered on time and within budget.
2. Independent Design Work
o Perform advanced designs in structural, civil, renewables, and infrastructure projects.
o Utilize Eurocodes, Steel, and Concrete principles effectively.
3. Team Leadership
o Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
o Support professional development within the team.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration
o Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
o Coordinate with diverse teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
5. Business Development
o Assist in client management and provide technical leadership to drive business growth.
6. Technical Application
o Apply advanced technical expertise to solve engineering challenges.
o Ensure all solutions meet stringent accuracy and quality standards.
7. On-Time Delivery
o Execute projects efficiently within agreed timeframes and budgets.
Requirements
Experience
* Minimum 6 years of post-graduate experience in structural and civil engineering.
* Strong expertise in Eurocodes, Steel, and Concrete design.
* Proficiency in SCIA or similar structural analysis software.
Professional Status
* Chartered Engineer or actively working toward Chartered status.
Skills
* Leadership ability with strong independent working capabilities.
* Advanced technical proficiency in structural and civil engineering disciplines.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* High attention to detail with proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
