Comprising a diverse team of dedicated professionals, our employees are the driving force behind our success.Role Purpose:The Electrical Stores Operative will be responsible for the effective management of electrical stock, including receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate inventory levels. This role will support a main project, ensuring that all deliveries are checked, documented, and signed off, while maintaining compliance with company procedures and health & safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Receive and check all incoming deliveries of electrical materials, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders/delivery notes.Sign off deliveries, reporting any discrepancies or damages promptly.Carry out regular stock takes and cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels.Maintain a well-organised and clean stores area, ensuring stock is stored safely and accessibly.Monitor stock usage and highlight shortages or re-order requirements.Issue electrical materials, tools, and equipment to staff in a controlled and documented manner.Ensure proper handling, labelling, and storage of electrical components and consumables.Keep accurate records of all stock movements in line with company systems.Support compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in the stores area.Liaise with suppliers, delivery drivers, and site personnel as required.Assist in improving stores procedures and efficiency.Skills & Experience:Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or materials handling role (electrical/mechanical background desirable).Good knowledge of electrical components, consumables, and tools (preferred).Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.Ability to carry out stock takes and maintain accurate records.Competent in using IT systems / stock management software.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Forklift licence desirable (but not essential).Join Cental and be part of a team delivering cutting-edge engineering solutions across Ireland and beyond.
