Workshop Operations Coordinator
The Vehicle Workshop Coordinator plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our workshop. Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, schedule, and coordinate vehicle pre-delivery inspections, fit-out and plyline activities to ensure timely completion and minimize vehicle downtime.
* Assign tasks to mechanics and technicians based on workload and expertise, while monitoring workflow and adjusting schedules as needed to meet operational demands.
Inventory & Parts Management:
* Work closely with the stores to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
* Advise the customer support team of any potential delays with either inventory or parts.
* Track inventory usage and report discrepancies.
Compliance & Safety:
* Evaluate all workshop activities against safety regulations and company policies.
* Conduct quality control checks and document results as required.
Communication & Coordination:
* Communicate daily/weekly schedules, deadlines, and priorities to staff via briefings or toolbox talks.
* Provide clear updates on vehicle works status and expected completion times.
Record Keeping & Reporting:
* Raise purchase orders and manage costs and revenue for subcontractors' invoices.
* Closely monitor the accuracy of Standard Times and make changes when necessary.
Requirements:
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Workshop experience in the motor industry.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills.
