About the Financial Accountant role This Financial Accountant role offers a dynamic opportunity to lead and enhance financial control and reporting for Goodbody Clearstream within the Finance department, driving operational efficiency and strategic integration.
This role is available on a part-time basis.
Financial Accountant Accountabilities include: The candidate will hold a broad range of responsibilities in Financial Control, including the following:Responsible for leading, overseeing and developing the financial accounts of Goodbody Clearstream.Responsible for delivery of the monthly Clearstream management accountsDevelopment and enhancement of control reconciliations for income, management accounts and balance sheet reporting.Working with the Clearstream operations manager on the provision of detailed MI and narrative, revenue forecasts, commentary on revenue and related KPIs.Overseeing the issuance of Clearstream customer invoices and payment of suppliersEnsuring all taxes are paid and filed in a timely mannerLiaising with the Goodbody team in relation to Clearstream joiners, leavers and payroll processing Overseeing of the production and output of bank reconciliation and debtors' management for Clearstream.Being part of the project team for integration into Goodbody in 2026.Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency through standalone project initiatives and through BAU.Balance sheet detailed oversight, reporting and monthly reconciliation.Ensuring a robust risk and control environment is in place through the documentation of detailed processes and procedures.Working with team and auditors on audit co-ordination and financial statement productionWorking with the Financial control team on ad hoc projects during the year.
Qualifications and Experience Strong working knowledge of MS Excel is essential.
Due to the high level of spreadsheet-based work in the role an excellent knowledge of Excel would be an advantage: Pivot tables, lookups and knowledge of formulae etc.Strong hands-on financial accounting and reporting experience Ideal Characteristics The ideal candidate will demonstrate:Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.Client focus - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and banks.Ability to be a team player with a strong appreciation of deadlines.Innovation - Proactivity and high levels of personal initiative.An appetite to learn and to deliver continuous improvement.
