Product Manager Medical Devices
About the Role:
* Develop a deep understanding of market dynamics, clinical practices, and the competitive landscape within fields of gastroenterology and endoscopy.
* Identify market opportunities and define product requirements and value propositions.
* Provide structured feedback from distributors, clinicians, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to guide future R&D and product improvements.
Product Lifecycle Management:
* Oversee assigned product lines from concept to post-market support.
* Manage product documentation, clinical claims, and technical information in collaboration with R&D and Regulatory Affairs.
* Support MDR and MDSAP readiness by ensuring product data, IFUs, and labelling are market-appropriate and compliant.
Commercialisation & Product Launch:
* Plan and execute product launches in coordination with Marketing Communication and distributors.
* Develop sales tools, training materials, and product messaging aligned with company's global brand.
* Support trade shows (ESGE, UEGW, DDW) and workshops, including product demonstrations and training sessions.
Distributor Engagement & Training:
* Partner with distributors to provide product knowledge, clinical updates, and marketing collateral.
* Conduct product and clinical training (virtual or in-person) to build distributor capability and confidence.
* Monitor distributor performance and gather feedback to inform portfolio priorities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
* Act as the European voice within the product team, ensuring alignment between market needs and technical development.
* Work closely with R&D and QA/RA teams in Asia to communicate customer requirements and product updates.
* Collaborate with Marketing Communication to translate technical content into compelling promotional materials.
Requirements:
* Bachelors or Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA or Marketing qualification a plus.
* Minimum 5 years experience in product management, product marketing, or clinical applications within medical devices (endoscopy, GI, or related preferred).
* Proven experience launching and managing medical devices in Europe.
* Strong understanding of MDR and clinical evidence requirements.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
* Comfortable working in cross-cultural, distributed environment (Asia-Europe time zones).
* Willingness to travel for exhibitions, distributor meetings, and clinical training (approx. 20-30%).
