This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.
Job Description
The participant will be supported to assist and learn the daily operations of a busy office environment. There is no previous experience required for this role. The participant will have the opportunity to learn receptionist skills and administrative tasks. The role will involve working as part of a team. Candidates will gain practical experience while assisting and learning in the following tasks:
* Maintaining and updating files on an ongoing basis
* Answering calls and greeting clients
* Assisting with office management tasks, including computer tasks and document preparation
* Supporting the team with general administrative jobs
* Assisting with payroll preparation
* Assisting with the preparation and writing of tenders
* Supporting with business finances, including creating invoices, invoice tracking, expense management and bookkeeping tasks
* Assisting the company’s accountants with required financial information and documentation
* Supporting the coordination of schedules, meetings and appointments
* Assisting with the smooth running of office operations
Role Description
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP. Formal Training:
