Assistant Swimming Pool Operations Manager
The role of the Assistant Swimming Pool Operations Manager is crucial in ensuring the smooth running and efficient management of our aquatic facilities. This position plays a key part in overseeing the pool area, including the Tepidarium, changing areas, wet classroom, and plant room.
Key Responsibilities:
* Enforce policies and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of the pool facilities.
* Manage, train, and evaluate lifeguard staff and deck supervisors, including recruitment, induction training, ongoing staff development, and upskilling in customer service, rescue skills, and best practices.
* Maintain and ensure relevant staff qualifications are up to date.
* Deliver training as required.
* Oversee pool operations, including first aid, lifeguard rotations, and scheduling.
* Ensure the daily operation and inspection of pool plant equipment (water quality, chemical dosing, and filtration).
* Coordinate maintenance of all equipment and ensure health and safety records are kept up to date.
* Assist in delivering the company's Learn to Swim program and facilitate ad-hoc bookings as required.
* Work closely with Duty Managers to maintain facility excellence.
* Promote the facility to members and customers, ensuring a high level of customer service at all times.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Pool Plant Operators Qualification.
* Royal Lifesaving Society (or equivalent) - Qualified Trainer/Assessor for Pool Lifeguarding.
* Pool Lifeguard Qualification (IWS / RLSS).
* Full Swim Teachers Certificate.
* First Aid Qualification.
* Fluent English.
* Child Safeguarding Certificate.
