Job Description
The (Senior) Manager, Digital Product Management is responsible for the governance execution, definition of Digital Product Management standards and driving accountability across all functions to ensure consistency product management for all Digital Assets as part of the IMSC Digital Operating Model.
This role will be responsible for the Office of Digital Product Management and will define the operating standard for Digital Product Management inclusive of both the Business Product Owner & Technical Product Owner roles in partnership with J&J Technology as well as Digital Excellence. The Office of Digital Product Management will drive adherence to the Digital Product Management Standard via
execution of cross functional sector wide governance for all digital assets.
Role is responsible to ensure that all digital assets have a defined product strategy in alignment with Digital strategy, and that all investments as well as on-going Lifecycle management costs are quantified and being managed.
What will be your main priorities?
Develop & Execute The Digital Product Management Capability Model
* Define & maintain the operating standard for Supply Chain Digital Product Management
* Define and maintain the Business Product Owner Role & capability
* Define and manage the Technical Product Owner Role & capability in partnership with JJT
* Define Business Process Decomposition for all aspect of the Office of Digital Product Management o Develop & Deploy Operating Standards for Key Processes (e.g. DPM Playbook, Agile methodology, Scaled Agile Methodology, Design System)
Lead The Supply Chain Office Of Digital Product Management
* Develop a cross functional governance model to ensure consistency in Digital Product Management across all functions
* Owns DPM standards (e.g. DPM Playbook, Agile methodology, Scaled Agile Methodology, Design System)
* Lead DPM Community of Practice to ensure DPM standards are adhered to.
* Drive Continuous Improvement of the Digital operating model across all facets including Data, Technology, Data Science and Cross Functional Digital Produce Management
Develop & Deploy Digital Stage-gate Model that covers the entire Digital product lifecycle:
* Ideation through Minimum Viable Product and POC
* Innovation Boundaries and integration point with Portfolio (intake, etc)
* Lifecycle management (maintenance, investment, etc)
* Decommisioning
Drive Digital Product Management Model Process & Standards Adherence
* Drive Supply Chain Adherence to Digital Operating Model Governance forums, processes and standards (e.g. DPM Playbook, Agile methodology, Scaled Agile Methodology, Design System)
* Ensure that all Digital Activities across the Supply Chain are executed in alignment with process standards
What do we expect from a strong candidate?
* 7+ years of experience in digital product portfolio management, PMO management or a related field, with a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry.
* In-depth understanding of agile methodologies, hub and spoke model or similar federated models
* Familiar with Industry Standards related to Data and IT management in the pharmaceutical industry
* Proven experience setting up Digital Product Management practice at the global scale
* Expert level understanding of Digital/IT product lifecycle and ability to measure its maturity at various stages
* Strategic product and portfolio management
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data- related concepts to various stakeholders.
* Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
